Alimak Tower Crane Lift provides reliable access during construction of major commercial tower in France

An ALIMAK TCL was installed on a Manitowoc Potain tower crane during construction of the ZAC du Pont d'Issy commercial tower in France. The Alimak TCL maximizes crane utilization by providing reliable and smooth crane cab access with easy installation for minimal crane downtime.

Alimak Hek, in association with the globalcrane manufacturer Manitowoc, installed an ALIMAK TCL on a Potain tower crane located at the ZAC du Pontd’Issy commercial tower in Issy les Moulineaux,France.

Scheduled for completion in 2016, ZAC du Pontd’Issyis a 53 m high tower that will comprise 17 floors ofmixed- use commercial and residential space. The ALIMAK TCL was installed on the base of the existing reinforced Potaintower crane mast, and was equipped to service a heightof 30 - 70m.

The ALIMAK TCL is designed with operator safety,comfort and usability in mind. Capable of transporting a maximum of two passengers (200 kg) at a time, the lift provides a fast, ergonomic and all-weather alternative to a traditional crane ladder. With lifting speeds of 24m/minute, the ALIMAK TCL minimizes travel time for crane operators and service personnel, thereby maximizing crane workingtime.

The ALIMAK TCL offers unbeatably simple external installation, and utilizes a compact mast and rack madeof durable galvanized steel. With no modifications tocrane masts required, the ALIMAK TCL is simple to retrofit to the majority of existing tower crane systems and is fully compliant with‘EN 81-43: Lifts for Cranes’ safety requirements.
