F\u00f6r att uppn\u00e5 denna elproduktion br\u00e4nner AEP Mountaineer i genomsnitt 9&nbsp;000 till 12&nbsp;000 ton kol per dag. AEP har ut\u00f6kat anl\u00e4ggningen med toppmodern utrustning f\u00f6r utsl\u00e4ppskontroll. En del av detta system \u00e4r ett r\u00f6kgasreningssystem (FGD). FGD-system, allm\u00e4nt k\u00e4nda som &#8221;skrubbare&#8221;, ser till att anl\u00e4ggningen uppfyller milj\u00f6best\u00e4mmelserna genom att minska utsl\u00e4ppen av svaveldioxid. FGD-byggnaden \u00e4r i drift dygnet runt och kr\u00e4ver ofta sk\u00f6tsel och underh\u00e5ll. Ett beslut togs att det fanns behov av en hiss med stor kapacitet f\u00f6r att underh\u00e5lla anl\u00e4ggningen utan behov av en kran. AEP Mountaineer valde en Alimak SE-H 2700 kuggst\u00e5ngshiss med en kapacitet p\u00e5 2&nbsp;700 kg (n\u00e4ra 6000 lb). Genom att installera en stor permanent hiss p\u00e5 FGD-byggnaden kan personal med tunga verktyg, stora utrustningar och specialdelar k\u00f6ras till toppen av FGD-byggnaden n\u00e4r som helst. Detta kan minimera oplanerade str\u00f6mavbrott om FGD-systemet fallerar eftersom reparationerna omedelbart kan p\u00e5b\u00f6rjas. Alimaks kuggst\u00e5ngshissar kan placeras i milj\u00f6er d\u00e4r traditionella linhissar av olika sk\u00e4l inte kan anv\u00e4ndas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Alimak-hissen kan installeras p\u00e5 den befintliga strukturen p\u00e5 ett antal st\u00e4llen eftersom den inte kr\u00e4ver n\u00e5got hisschakt eller maskinrum<\/li><li>Det \u00e4r vertikalt sj\u00e4lvb\u00e4rande och p\u00e5f\u00f6r endast en f\u00f6rh\u00e5llandevis liten inf\u00e4stningsbelastning p\u00e5 den befintliga strukturen<\/li><li>Hissen kan installeras p\u00e5 insidan eller utsidan, med eller utan en undergrop<\/li><li>Alimaks robusta hissar av industriell kvalitet<\/li><li>finns i m\u00e5nga storlekar och kapaciteter och kan skr\u00e4ddarsys f\u00f6r att passa n\u00e4stan alla situationer<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Alimak, med ett omfattande sortiment av hissar och lyftprodukter samt kl\u00e4tter- och transportplattformar, har varit v\u00e4rldsledande inom l\u00f6sningar f\u00f6r vertikala transporter med kuggst\u00e5ngsdrift i \u00f6ver 50 \u00e5r.
