Alimak Group Sweden has been awarded with a gold rating by renowned EcoVadis for the business’s sustainability work. The company is ranked in the top 2% of companies in the manufacture of general-purpose machinery industry.
EcoVadis provides the leading solution for monitoring sustainability in global supply chains. It provides sustainability score cards for how companies are performing in in four areas: Environment, labor and human rights, ethics as well as sustainable procurement. The gold rating means that Alimak scored highly in all assessment areas.

Examples of success factors in the EcoVadis assessment are the company’s use of renewable energy, product lifecycle analysis, good working conditions, implementation of Code of Conduct, waste sorting, fossil free heating, and the reduction of CO2 emissions in the last years.
The EcoVadis methodology is based on international sustainability standards (Global Reporting Initiative, United Nations Global Compact, ISO 26000), and supervised by a scientific committee of sustainability and supply chain experts, to ensure reliable third-party sustainability assessments.
